Project Lifesaver
The Myrtle Beach Police Department is a supporter of Project LifeSaver, which focuses on providing protection and safety for those with cognitive disorders. Project LifeSaver is the first pioneer to apply tracking technology for the search and rescue of individuals who wander due to Autism, Down syndrome, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive conditions. The Myrtle Beach Police Department works with other city and county departments as well as community members to continue to provide this service.
